Your Role in Our Mission:
- Maintains quality objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs.
- Manages, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, services, and products.
- Leads non-conforming material management.
- Implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., to inform management of current status or work activities.
- Works with Manager to plan, promote, and organize training activities related to quality and reliability. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
- Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
- Investigates customer complaints regarding quality, coordinates with appropriate departments, and makes appropriate adjustments.
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in quality.
- 5+ years of quality management and/or refuse industry experience.
- Audit certification or experience.
- Green Belt in Six Sigma a plus.
- Limited travel to customer meetings and events, and manufacturing plants.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Works well under pressure to meet established and agreed deadlines.
- Team player and team leader.
- Works collaboratively with others across functional departments.
- Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, excel, word).
- General knowledge of ERP systems: Epicor a plus.
