Currently we are seeking a Final Assembly Technician to join our team and be an essential part of our manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. This person may be responsible for chassis or cab wiring, chassis prep, or hydraulics.
 
This position is eligible for $3.00 shift differential!

 Your Role in Our Mission: 
  • Route New Way wiring harness through the chassis into the cab. 
  • Integrate DOT chassis harness to New Way DOT harness. 
  • Install camera systems, scale systems, and radar systems. 
  • Install custom cab consoles with body switches. 
  • Inspect and test own work for function and appearance. 
  • Prepare the chassis for the body of the truck by installing a variety of brackets. 
  • Modify the frame of the chassis to fit the truck body by moving around fuel tanks, relocating battery boxes, air dryers, air tanks, and routing air and fuel lines. 
  • Use a plasma cutter, torch, and grinder to make modifications. 
  • Ensure that the finished product matches the work order and any change orders. 
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane as needed. 
  • Mount and plumb hydraulic components to the chassis. 
  • Install Power Take Off assemblies, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic tanks, hp psi filters, and hoses. 
  • Crimp and route hoses. 
  • Ensure safety through operating equipment in a safe manner and reporting any hazards associated with equipment.
  • Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
To Perform your Job Successfully:
  • 1 year(s) preferred in Auto Mechanics 
  • Communicate effectively with other works to direct personal workflow.
  • Read work orders and schematics.
  • Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
  • Meet and improve quality standards through troubleshooting techniques.
  • Math skills including fractions and angles.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Understand and work with electrical wiring, specifically 12 Volt DC.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
  • Other duties as assigned
