Job Summary:
The Wiring Supervisor is part of the manufacturing team and holds employees accountable for efficiency, quality, safety and compliance with the company policy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department employees as assigned.
- Ensures department efficiency and in accordance with departmental goals.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Participates in the hiring process and coordinates coaching, discipline, and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Provide a safe work environment and assure that team members follow safe work practices.
- Manage daily activities of the department to meet production demands in both quantity and quality.
- Communicate effectively with Leads and other team members to direct personnel.
- Communicate with other departments to assure proper materials and equipment are provided for the team members.
- Fairly evaluates performance of team members.
- Provide training and coaching to help team members advance skills.
- Communicate expectations and challenges to team members.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and assist with implementation of changes.
- Be a role model for the department by practicing employee engagement while having a respectful and positive attitude.
- Pro-actively maintain a balanced Inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of assembly and wiring processes and equipment
- Experience in leadership role required
- Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Ability to plan and implement changes
- Ability to complete payroll timely and accurately.
- Math skills including good understanding reading tape measure
- Ability to read wiring schematics and prints
- Computer skills including ability to use and create word documents and spread sheets
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Trained in forklift operation
- Must wear PPE as prescribed in Safety policies.
- Prolonged periods on the factory floor in various environments.
- Typically indoors around noise and power tools.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
