- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate supply chain plans with broader business strategies.
- Lead procurement initiatives, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective suppliers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee transportation, distribution, and logistics operations to optimize efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to minimize costs and enhance delivery performance.
- Establish and maintain effective inventory management processes to support production schedules while minimizing carrying costs.
- Implement inventory control systems and strategies to ensure accurate and timely stock levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring a secure supply chain.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement strategies for improvement.
- Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure business continuity through effective risk management and contingency planning.
- Analyze cost structures across the supply chain and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge supply chain technologies to enhance visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure the company remains at the forefront of supply chain management practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (10 years) in supply chain leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or heavy equipment industries.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-dept knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.
