- Assist and train employees in the installation of systems of electrical controls for equipment, applying knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Diagnose and repair final stage controls issues.
- Perform various chassis programming such as Allison transmission, Cummins engine, Diamond Logic, etc.
- Maintains records of repairs and rework performed.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks including preparing technical documentation for service and production support.
- Perform sales order reviews to identify any non-standard electrical/controls requests.
- Provide excellent customer service via phone or email to customers, dealers, and department personnel to assist in trouble shooting to resolution.
- Review technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or quality requirements by coordinating manufacturing, installation, support, documentation, or testing activities.
- Must be able to read and work with schematics, wiring diagrams and bills of materials and engineering change orders.
- Collaborate with outside suppliers and service centers to coordinate repair and service work.
- Assure that all relative OEM software licenses are current and renewed prior to expiration.
- Associate degree in automotive or large equipment mechanics or related field with a minimum of two years of mechanical experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn controls including mobile electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative management style.
- Ability to use computers and computer software including word, excel, data entry and information processes.
