Documentation Management:
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Ensure documentation aligns with engineering standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers to gather technical data for project documentation.
- Assist with reviewing and updating system specifications and installation guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain version control of documents and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to support basic layout adjustments and diagram updates.
- Review technical drawings to ensure consistency with system requirements.
- Work closely with production, quality, and service teams to gather feedback and ensure documentation supports field operations effectively.
- Provide administrative support for technical training materials when needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field OR
- Associate’s degree in Advanced Technology, Drafting, or a related technical field with relevant experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) for creating and modifying technical drawings.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze technical data and identify discrepancies in documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical content clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff.
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor.
- Minimal travel may be required for training or cross-site collaboration.
